Welcome To The Global Accreditation and Certification Council

Established by HRMI, the Global Accreditation and Certification Council (GACC) acts as the sole governing body for the policies, procedures and standards for accrediting VET, undergraduate and postgraduate programs of HR, as well as certifying management systems and services.

GACC approved by U.S. Government with its head office at Delaware, USA. It's also recognized member of World Standard Federation of Accreditation and Certification Network - Ansi, Canadian Standards Association and Government Accreditation Association of DE.

Furthermore, GACC complying with the accreditation requirements of ISO 17021, ISO Guide 53, ISO Guide 65 and ISO Guide 67 set forth by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). They are now endorsed by 159 countries, and are globally accepted standards for accreditation and certification bodies.

The discipline of HR has increasingly become more recognized within the academic and professional world over the past 20 years. Generally in corporations, HR and business are strategic partners can be assessed in terms of the degree to which HRM issues are integrated with the formulation of the business strategies. Objective measures, amongst others, can be HR representation in top management, HR’s involvement in the development of corporate strategy and the systematic evaluation of HR in terms of its business impact.

In the United States, specialized accreditation is closely associated with professional associations. And the concept of non-government, not-for-profit accrediting bodies reviewing academic and vocational programs is gaining momentum and acceptance worldwide.

GACC Mission

To protect, promote, and advance excellence in VET, undergraduate and postgraduate programs as well as organizational development, which are engaged with HR profession worldwide through voluntary accreditation and/or certification in accordance with Global Standards.

 

Main Purposes of GACC Accreditation and Certification:

 

*  Promote the professionalization of Human Resources

*  Formulate, communicate and advocate industry needs

*  Ensure high-quality academic and professional programs in Human Resources

*  Provide external quality standards for program planning and improvement efforts

*  Provide attestation by HRMI and GACC

*  Facilitate communication among schools, professors, corporations and HR practitioners

Governing Board

The Board consists of nine professional people:

  • Director
  • Two from international universities
  • Two from Professional Bodies
  • Two from the Industry sector
  • Two Technical & Vocational education

Board Duties

The primary function of the GACC Board is to administer and maintain policies and procedures for certifications related to human resources management. Responsibilities include:

  • Making any final decisions regarding the accreditations and/or certifications

  • Developing and improving the accreditations and certification standards as well as guidelines

  • Developing policies, procedures, onsite visit processes and other items to support accreditations and certifications

  • Setting the fees for the accreditation/certification process

Board members may serve as many as two consecutive three-year terms. The GACC Board aims to strike a member balance of geography and of professional and academic individuals.
